Chris
Hill (Washburn
University ’94) is a Kansas Beta alumnus who was born
and raised in Wellington,
KS. He joined Phi Delta Theta as a freshman and served
his chapter as
Recruitment Chairman, Warden and President. In
addition to earning his Bachelor
of Communication from Washburn University, he also
earned a Master of Arts
Degree in Communication from Oklahoma State University
in 1996 and a Master of
Science in Government Leadership from National Defense
University in 2021. Chris
is a Lt Colonel in
the Air National Guard, where he has served for over
25 years. Currently, he is
assigned as the Comptroller Squadron Commander where
he serves as the financial
advisor to the Wing and Group Commanders.
He is also responsible for planning, managing,
and directing the
resource management activities for the Wing's $45
Million in annual funds
including budget, accounting, manpower, and management
analysis. He was
commissioned in 2000 as a distinguished graduate of
the Air National Guard
Academy of Military Science. He has served in a
variety of positions including
Chief of Public Affairs, Wing Executive Officer and
Communications Flight
Commander. He
has been a consistent
volunteer with Phi Delta Theta since his graduation
from Washburn University.
He has served as Chapter Advisor, CAB Chairman,
Housing Corporation President,
Province President, Education Commissioner as well as
serving on faculty at
multiple President’s Leadership Conferences, Alumni
Summits, and Leadership
Colleges/Emerging Leaders Institutes. In addition to
his service to Phi Delta
Theta, Chris serves on the planning committee for
Leadership Kansas, is an
active member of the Shrine and Masonic lodge and an
adjutant professor at
Washburn University. Chris
resides in Topeka
with his wife Amy along with their blended family of
five children, Hannah, 18;
Maddy, 16; Jay, 16; Evie, 14 and Bailey 14. In his
spare time Chris enjoys
playing golf, running and taking in as many of his
